On November 1, 2019, the pre-orders for this expansion were announced, allowing customers to acquire any of the three digital editions and immediately obtaining their in-game goodies included, as well as the ability to upgrade the lower ones at a later time paying the difference.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands was pre-released in 3 distinct all-digital editions-the base edition, the heroic edition, and the epic edition-later adding the collector's edition, the only physical one.
